Introduction
Oregon issues Concealed Handgun Licenses (CHLs) through county sheriffs. While Oregon does not have reciprocity with other states, its CHL is necessary for legal concealed carry within state borders.
Eligibility

✅ Age 21+

✅ Oregon resident (some exceptions for bordering states)

✅ No felony convictions

✅ No misdemeanor convictions for certain offenses in last 4 years

✅ Mentally competent
Required Training
You must take a state-approved firearms safety course, which can be:

Military or law enforcement training
